Access to courses is reserved only for employees of Vector’s Industry Sponsor companies and Vector partners. As part of Vector’s commitment to add value to sponsor companies and partners, work submitted by participants will be shared with Vector’s primary contact at the participant’s organization (if applicable) in the below ways:

  • Capstone Projects or Papers (more detail below) will be shared with the organization’s primary contact in a Capstone Report. Capstone Reports are aggregated reports, generated from Capstone Project/Paper submissions by participants from the same employer. It includes the Capstone Project/Paper(s) submitted, comments from Instructors, the participant’s name(s) and final grade. Capstone Reports are created for sponsor companies individually. Content is only shared with the participant’s own employer, not other sponsor companies.
  • Assignment submissions may be shared with the organization’s primary contact, only if the content provides particular insight to an area of the company’s interest. Vector will only share content with the primary contact at the participant’s organization.

This feedback model is a hallmark feature in Vector Institute technical education, designed to ensure return on investment for investments in professional development through the formalized transmission of AI best practices back to industry sponsors.

You can find out who the primary contact at your organization is by contacting industry@vectorinstitute.ai.

What are Capstone Projects or Papers?

Courses and workshops typically culminate in formal Capstone Projects or Papers where participants apply learnt techniques to their individual work streams beyond the classroom. These formal projects are designed to be shared with sponsor companies.

What if I don’t want my Capstone Project/Paper or assignments shared with my employer?

If participants do not wish for their Capstone Project/Paper to be shared with primary contacts at their organization, they must let the Vector team know as soon as possible. The Vector team will provide the primary contact’s contact information to the participant, who must confirm whether they can continue on the course with the primary contact, and send proof of the decision to industry@vectorinstitute.ai. If the participant is not able to take part in the course, Vector will issue a full refund if the course has already been paid for and delete the participant’s course account. If approved, the participant may continue on the course.
